IAB NewFronts 2022

IAB NewFronts is the world’s largest digital content marketplace that gives media buyers a first look at the latest from the biggest names in media and entertainment. In May 2022, Snapchat presented live for the first time to a packed audience in Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York (and also streamed to a virtual audience).

Snap's goal was to differentiate Snapchat’s offering from our competitors and offer critical insights into how our community uses all aspects of the platform to live, communicate, and connect every day. We wanted the audience to leave feeling inspired by Snapchat’s ability to tell their brand stories in unique and immersive ways, excited to connect with a large and highly engaged audience, and ready to drive real and impactful business results.

In collaboration with other cross-functional teams, the creative team developed a visual system that stemmed from the simple motifs of a circular shape and layered elements to connote connectivity during times of social isolation. 

During this presentation, we announced a large array of Snap Original shows that were returning and would premiere on our app. We also announced a partnership with Cameo, which gave advertisers on Snapchat the opportunity to team up with the more than 45,000 personalities on Cameo.

The cornerstone of this event was the live production, with support activations throughout the week all around NYC. Deliverables for this project included the full keynote presentation visuals and supporting visuals, stage production, OOH digital and physical activations, social assets, post-event email comms, scripts, post-event sales collateral including a business narrative and one-sheeter, and partnering with numerous brand and celebrity partners. In addition, our internal production team delivered a recap sizzle in under 24 hours.
